Giles Smith

Prior to directing, Giles was Creative Partner & Executive Producer at Unit9 Films. There he worked on various interactive and film projects, including ‘Guinness – Paint the Town Black’, ‘Fosters – Good Call Centre’ and ‘Old Spice – Gentleman Hunt’.

In 2014 he was approached to join the advertising agency, Alpha Century. Where for close to five years he worked as Creative Director, collaborating regularly with Virgin Atlantic, Toshiba, Victoria Plum, Addison Lee, Cunard and many others. During this time he took the opportunity to direct the key films for the agency.

In late 2018 Giles took a bold step to transition away from agency life and concentrates his time solely on directing.

Giles’ reel focuses largely on visual storytelling and luxury lifestyle, travel & fashion projects.
