Lucas “Picapau” Nicolosi (“woodpecker” in Portuguese) is an award-winning, Sicilian director, born in 1997. He moved to Rome where he started filming interviews with Italian rap-stars like CaneSecco and Junior Cally. He then worked for RAI, the Italian public broadcasting company, as a director and editor for the opening titles of “Flash”, a RaiPlay tv-series in 2018.
In 2019 he wrote and directed two short films which have been awarded Best Picture, Best International Short, Best Fantasy Short attracting national and international attention. One of which was a short film in collaboration with Makinarium, Italy’s biggest and most prestigious SFX/VFX film industry specialist.
At 22, he moved to Milan to test and transfer his cinematic vision and skills by working in the fashion and advertising Industries for clients such as Paco Rabanne, MaxMara, BVLGARI, Philipp Plein and VOGUE.
He also worked outside the Italian territory, filming in Cannes, Lugano, Mykonos and Berlin.
Currently based between Paris and Milan, Picapau is always ready to push himself and offer clients his personal cinematic visual touch.
